Proper planning can maximize the quality of the finished product while keeping costs as low as possible. It sets a realistic expectation and time-frame in which to complete your project and it affords you the opportunity to make smart choices about the materials and services required to successfully manufacture your finished product.

Important Considerations

When planning a new project, keep the following questions in mind:

• What is the intended function of this piece and who is the audience?
• What kind of image am I trying to achieve?
• Have I chosen the right product style?
• What is my budget for the job?
• What printing method(s) will give the best results for my requirements?
• What is the most cost-effective printing method to meet my needs?
• What is the time frame I have to complete my project (if you have an event date, please inform your Folder Factory representative ASAP!)?

• How will the artwork be generated?
• On what computer platform?
• Utilizing what graphics software?
• Do I have a relationship with a vendor that has the ability and expertise to get my project done? (hint: Folder Factory has the ability and expertise!)
